AI and SaaS products (2023 to present)

• PageAnvil (pageanvil.com): AI landing page generator that turns a YouTube video, podcast, sermon or PDF into a complete SEO-optimized page with Schema.org markup and generative engine optimization (GEO). Patent-pending content analysis; Stripe subscriptions.
• LayerLytix (layerlytix.com): one layered dashboard that unifies Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, YouTube Analytics and Search Console per client through Google OAuth. PageAnvil and LayerLytix share a multi-tenant platform at code.CompEdgeSolutions.us with single sign-in, Stripe checkout provisioning and idempotent webhooks.
• PCO Widget (pcowidget.com): embeds a Planning Center Online church calendar on any website with a single script tag. Live sync, six layouts, local-time handling, sermon titles, tag filtering, Stripe billing.
• PrayerMap (prayermap.me): structured prayer scheduling and answered-prayer tracking for individuals, ministries and churches, with an accountability model drawn from Wesley's band meetings. Free personal tier plus paid ministry and church plans.
• Ekkora (ekkora.com): a no-login church portal for seniors and homebound members. Path-based multi-tenant routing, kiosk mode, offline resilience and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility.
• PrayerLane (prayerlane.com): multi-tenant relay that gives churches a branded on-ramp and off-ramp around their existing prayer management platform, with providers built as adapters. Grew out of a single-church integration I built for Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
• AllMyStuff (allmystuff.us): photo-based home inventory by room and container, with insurance documentation and family sharing. Free and Pro tiers.
• LinksVault (linksvault.us): link saving and organizing with auto-generated visual thumbnails.
• CESai: white-label AI help assistant, split out of the site help widget, that answers from a per-client knowledge base.

Ministry, community and creative platforms

• EveryMartian (everymartian.com): wrote and built a platform helping men become who God intends them to be: articles, essays, songs, and client-side tools (Venusian Translator, Houston, Booster) on a two-subdomain PHP codebase.
• American Inklings (americaninklings.com): membership platform, gallery and fellowship application for Christian creatives in the spirit of the Oxford Inklings.
• Sites and tools for Hesed Discipleship Network, Healthy Prophetic Community Kansas City, the Everyone Will Know conference, Emmanuel Lutheran Church Kettering, Digital Missions Project, and the Lead With Prayer prayer-card app.
• Stone Soup (stonesoup.us): interactive illustrated storybook app that teaches uncommon English vocabulary through a reimagined folktale, with group reading and character and word galleries.

Client and brand work

• Full sites, brands and lead pipelines for local businesses, including J Legacy Renovations (quote and contact forms, lead management, reviews and before-and-after gallery admin), Goddard's Painting, Poison Ivy Removal and Cape May Traditions, several migrated from GoHighLevel to owned infrastructure.
• Domain, DNS and hosting migrations for churches and ministries, including Generation Church Miami.

Earlier work (2001 to 2022)

• Modified and enhanced the UI/UX of a proprietary Andon system in C#, Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, SVG and object-oriented JavaScript; automated ERP report generation and distribution with SQL rules, Visual FoxPro and embedded Crystal Reports.
• Designed and built subscription mobile web applications: a talent-and-skill keyword profile and relevance search for performers and agents; a system generating custom JavaScript that notifies subscribers the instant a page is visited; and a real-estate signage app managing unique property URLs and photos through the PayPal API.
• Built an online wine ordering system validating orders against dry-county exclusion and shipping rules, linked to the Google Wallet API, and a data-driven system for monetizing free WiFi hotspots with time-based rotating ads, premium positioning and return incentives.
• Produced hundreds of wine label concepts and press-ready art for Napa Valley private bottlers; designed logos, brands, web sites and print marketing; produced hundreds of MLS-compliant Virtual Open House video tours from storyline through voice-over and editing.

ProAlert · Bridge Software Technologies, Mason OH

2023 to Present · Director of Marketing (concurrent with Comp Edge Solutions)

• Lead marketing for ProAlert, an on-premise manufacturing quality and production platform: real-time OEE alerting, inspections, nonconformance (NCR) and CAPA, document control, CMMS, audit findings, scrap and downtime tracking and an operator kiosk, built in ASP.NET Core and .NET MAUI on SQL Server. Positioning, messaging, licensing copy, sales presentations and trademark-aligned copy following the USPTO repositioning.
• Designed, wrote and built getproalert.com, moving it off GoHighLevel onto owned infrastructure: feature pages with Schema.org structured data, a Search Console program, user-guide pages kept in sync with the product documentation, and an AI help assistant trained on the product knowledge base.
• Built the supporting web apps: feedback.getproalert.com, a customer feedback and support portal, and crm.getproalert.com, a staff CRM and demo scheduler with a public booking page and scoped API keys.
• Also an active developer on ProAlert Core alongside the founding developer.

Dark Roast Watercolors™ · darkroastwatercolors.com

2008 to Present · Fine Artist, painting as MīKEL (concurrent with Comp Edge Solutions)

• Realist and abstract expressionist painter working in brewed coffee as the primary medium since 2008, one of a very small number of artists worldwide painting exclusively in it. Researched the science behind the medium so the paintings' stability and preservation match those of oils.
• Third place and the Patrons Award at a juried festival in 2009, followed by an invitation to the 2009 Disney Festival of the Masters. Work held in fine art galleries and in private and corporate collections, and featured on television, in domestic and international magazines and in online publications.
• Three bodies of work: Dark Roast Watercolors™ realism, Dark Roast Abstractions™ and the Coffee Lifescape™ and Coffee Break™ series, more than eighty paintings, shown and sold through the site I designed and built.

Nielsen, Inc. · Scarborough Division (Arbitron), Coral Springs, FL

2017 to 2019 · Senior Analyst

• Analysed and re-coded existing Visual Basic, FoxPro, Access and Microsoft SQL Server based programs to improve UI/UX, processing speed and efficiency, reducing overall required time by almost 480 man-hours (12 weeks) a year. Also wrote 500+ pages of user documentation.
• Devised and developed a 'problem character fix' module that automatically handled, according to maintainable data-driven business rules, any unexpected ASCII character found on incoming data and produced a report of characters found, location and replacement.
• Designed and rewrote several programs that had previously been copied and modified for each release, into a single reusable program accessing a table-driven release structure to eliminate confusion and allow backward compatibility.

1999 to 2001 · Senior Software Engineer

• Team lead on a full-stack implementation of a globally integrated 'dynamic product' ordering and manufacturing system, written as a Windows Application interfacing to Oracle, encompassing domestic and foreign manufacturing facilities, complex global user rights and permissions, multiple order-receiving methods (fax, email, EDI), linked customer catalog tables for barcode, price and variable data, and multiple manufacturing methods.

1998 to 1999 · Software Developer

• Designed and developed both ASP running on Microsoft IIS and COM objects written with Visual Basic 6.0 interfacing with an Oracle database, generating dynamic SQL queries and returning data via object properties or methods to display and modify Oracle data.
• Developed a dynamic web site utilizing Visual InterDev and FrontPage on an NT server with IIS and MS SQL Server; Active Server Page technology dynamically built HTML pages based upon client profile, product subscriptions and data-driven product structures.

Monarch Marking (Avery Dennison), Dayton OH

1994 to 1997 · Service Bureau Division · Programmer / Developer

• Part of a team that designed, developed, tested and implemented a Windows application written with Delphi 2.0 (Object Pascal) on Win95/NT, which retrieved, processed, transmitted and tracked daily orders for multiple domestic and overseas production facilities.
• Solely responsible for the design, development and implementation of a complete variable print imaging application written in Clipper 5.2 that replaced licensed print-engine software, and was more streamlined, intuitive and easier to maintain. Merged variable text and graphics with data-driven image templates, calculated step-and-repeat layout for offset plates, defined run quantity for least waste, and output direct to plate via Autologic (ICL RIP) or Postscript.
• Designed a utility application for Postscript font downloading, graphic image management and imagesetter calibration; created an image converter that converted TIFF images between compression formats.
